My name is Jayson Richardson. I am a photographer currently living in Charlotte, North Carolina. I was born and raised in Greenville, SC until the age of ten. My family then relocated to Maryland. I grew up playing basketball and football all while trying to pursue my dreams of acting. I was recruited by a Christian college in Pennsylvania to play football. I chose this college because the Lord has always been a huge part of my life and I grew up in the church. Unfortunately, college is where I went through challenging trials and tribulations. I was overwhelmed and eventually returned home. Instead of dwelling, I came to the realization that life is hard. You only get one chance at it so I decided to chase my dreams. I held myself to a higher standard from that point on. I became one of the youngest black employees to work in the #1 Children’s Hospitals in the nation. I also signed to NV Models and Talent Agency in Cincinnati, Ohio. On this journey is where I learned that I have a love and passion for photography.
If I had to describe my style of photography I’d say I am a sniper with a cinematic scope. I have a keen eye for good scenery. I believe I can turn what most would consider nothing into something. They say find your niche and I feel like I found mine with portrait shots, but I really enjoy shooting everything so why limit myself. Since I have moved to Charlotte I have worked for four photography companies and plan on continuing my learning and growth.
